Eileen Gricuk President

Eileen is one of ten siblings and knows what it is like to collaborate in a group yet remain individual. She is a certified coach working with international organisations to help leaders with their personal effectiveness, develop talent and build teams. In addition to coaching, she also serves as the Executive Director of the Polish Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Warsaw. In this role, she works with investors across numerous sectors and countries to support their business development. Interculturalism has been a part of her life from her earliest days growing up in Canada in a Chinese immigrant family. This continued with her professional experience working in Canada, Hong Kong, Qatar, UK and Poland. She is fascinated by how history and perspectives are seen through the eyes of different cultures and communities. Eileen?s dream is for all people the world over to have rich and constructive dialogue. Her personal interests include running, discovering new places and cuisine.


Kinga Białek Vicepresident

Member of the Managing Board. Cross-cultural psychologist and trainer. A graduate of Cross-cultural Psychology and Political Science (specialization: Management of Intercultural Integration). Certified trainer in Psychological Training. Since 2000 she has been working for the development of intercultural competence. She specializes in training for business and the public sector (culture-specific training) and in the integration programs implemented by NGOs for local communities (management of multiculturalism, cultural mediation). Co-author of the first Polish textbook for intercultural trainers. She has many years of experience in working with cultural minorities in Poland (Vietnamese, Chechens, Roma). Privately enthusiast of volleyball, singing and healthy cuisine.

Dawid Rutkowski Treasurer

Dawid works as a consultant in the IT industry. Currently supports area PM and Account Manager in the shared services organization. Multicultural experience gained working in multinational corporations with the financial industry, chemical and FMCG. Carry out projects in Balkan countries, North and South Africa, and the Middle East. The Sietar Poland carry out your passion and develop multicultural skills, giving their years of experience and corporate support organization in the professionalisation and financial management. He believes that intercultural dialogue is the future of modern societies.
Privately, happy husband and Dad of two wonderful sons. An avid photographer and traveler.

Bastian Küntzel Board member

Bastian facilitates learning at the intersection of culture, communication and management, creatively pushing the boundaries of mainstream approaches to education. Bastian has been involved in the training field since 1998, having started as a volunteer in an international youth organisation and then going on to study Intercultural Communication and Adult Education. He now works globally with clients such as the United Nations and Google. Bastian also teaches Intercultural Training Design and Methodology at the Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany.

Our Goals and how we achieve them in 2017-2019:

Foster and strengthen quality in the intercultural professions in Poland.

To achieve this, we:

  • Create, maintain and promote a code of ethics for the intercultural professions that members are invited to voluntarily sign-up to
  • Create a framework to describe quality in intercultural trainings
  • Host a congress in 2018 to provide a platform for the exchange of knowledge, skills and ideas for professional development of members and other professionals, as well as building contact networks
  • Offer quarterly webinars by topic experts to all SPL members for building competencies (TBC)
  • Support the Trainers Group as a place for members to develop intercultural training skills

Nurture a fertile environment for interculturalists in Poland.

To achieve this, we:

  • Hold local F2F meetings for members to mutually learn and discuss relevant topics
  • Provide the INFORMATOR newsletter to update members on bi-weekly basis

Actively contribute to a culture of openness and respect for diversity in Poland.

To achieve this, we:

  • Support UCHO Group as a place for members to engage in community projects

Engage in the global community of interculturalists.

To achieve this, we:

  • Participate on the board of SIETAR Europa to engage in and support mutual projects, and share information
  • Participate in the SIETAR Global Connect group to exchange information, share best practices and support new SIETAR groups forming
