We are independent organization which function in Poland and abroad, and we  are part of the international SIETAR network that promotes intercultural understanding and cooperation.


What Personal Data We Collect

We collect only the data we genuinely need to manage your membership, communication, and participation in our community.

When you join as a member, we collect:

  • Your name and email address,
  • Your membership fee payment history, and
  • (If you choose to share it) extra details such as your organisation, interests, profile photo, language skills, country of residence, website, or social media links.

When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect:

  • Your name and email address to send you updates and news.

When you visit our website, we collect:

  • Basic technical data needed to operate the site securely, such as server logs and cookies. (See section “Use of our website sietar.pl” below for details.)

We never collect more data than necessary.


When and Why We Share Data

We process your data only for our statutory and non-profit purposes and we do not share it with any third parties for commercial use.

You can choose whether to:

  • Share your contact details and profile with other SIETAR Polska members, or
  • Make your data visible to SIETAR Europe members within the broader network.

Use of Our Website – sietar.pl

When you visit our website, we automatically collect limited technical information to ensure that the site runs smoothly and securely.

Server Logs

Our web servers create standard server log files that your browser automatically sends to us. These may include:

  • Amount of data transferred,
  • Referring website (URL),

  • Operating system used.

This processing is based on our legitimate interest in maintaining a secure and reliable service (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Full IP addresses are stored only temporarily (usually up to 30 days) and are then anonymised or deleted automatically.

Access to log data is strictly limited to our system administrators and hosting provider, who comply with GDPR requirements.

Payment Processing Cookies (Stripe & Przelewy24)

Our website uses Stripe to process payments of membership fees, including credit card transactions and Przelewy24 (P24) payment method. When you initiate a payment or open the payment form, Stripe may place functional and security cookies on your device. These cookies are required to:

  • maintain a secure payment session,
  • prevent fraud and unauthorized transactions,
  • enable Stripe’s payment form to function properly,
  • comply with financial and regulatory requirements

Stripe may set cookies such as __stripe_mid and __stripe_sid, which identify your browser during the session and support fraud detection.

Payment cookies are set only when you initiate a transaction. If no payment is started, no payment cookies are stored.
