We are delighted to launch the new SIETAR Europa Community of Practice – a collaborative initiative through whichย National SIETARs and Direct Members are kindly invited to share their webinars, workshops, dialogues and other learning activities with the wider hashtagSIETAREuropa community.
Our first event is organised by theย Direct Membersโ Representatives to the SIETAR Europa Board, Elio Vera and Cynthia Milani, together with Dr. Lidia Wiลniewska (๋ฆฌ๋์ ์์ค๋์ํ์ค์นด), President of SIETAR Europa.
๐ What do people expect from leaders in an increasingly complex and polarised world?
๐ Do they want leaders who take a clear position – or leaders who can hold complexity without reducing it to simple answers?
๐ How are expectations concerning trust, power, identity, hashtagPsychologicalSafety and the employer – employee relationship changing across cultures?
Join us for an engaging, dialogue-led session with Derek Bruce (FCIPD), FCIPD.
Drawing on his leadership experience across theย United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Dubai, the United States and Italy, Derek Bruce (FCIPD) will explore what it means to lead real people – not cultural averages – when familiar models and national labels no longer tell the whole story.
Together, we will examine:
โข How leadership expectations have changed over the past decade
โข Whether identity can still be understood primarily through nationality
โข How power, trust and psychological safety operate across different contexts
โข What leaders owe their people in times of uncertainty
โข Whyย hopeย may be the most important thing people seek from leaders worldwide
This will not be a traditional presentation. It will be a working conversation among peers, combining polls, breakout discussions, lived leadership experience and collective reflection.
Come prepared to contribute, question established assumptions and explore how interculturalists can help leaders create hope – without pretending to have all the answers.
