Aim of this project
Being a migrant in Poland is hard and full of challenges, especially now.
SIETAR Polska recognizes these challenges and would like to support You during this time. The aim of this project is to help build migrants’ resilience during VUCA Times. VOLATILITY, UNCERTAINTY, COMPLEXITY, AMBIGUITY; these are the qualities we will focus on, defining and recognizing in ourselves and trying to disarm them by finding the best way to constructively experience these difficult and ubiquitous emotional states.
Meetings
Meetings will be held once a month, online (via Zoom) or offline (at a previously agreed location).
Methods
The meetings will mostly be organized in a form of workshops with the use of interactive methods. We will focus on art therapy – an innovative workshop technique/method that incorporates other forms of expression and communication than just words. With the help of art (e.g. painting, music, movement), other areas of the subconscious are stimulated and that might strengthen and stimulate creativity.
The meetings will be a time for LETTING IT GO and FILLING UP with POSITIVE ENERGY OF ARTISTIC CREATION shared with others.
Workshops will be led by art therapists: Aleksandra Passendorfer and Urszula Rymarowicz.
URSZULA RYMAROWICZ
An architect, art therapist, and culture animator. Involved in the subject of interculturalism and exclusion due to cultural differences. She organized culture animation during six-month volunteer work in Armenia and a monthly project in Georgia. She conducted a series of art therapy workshops for women at the Center for Foreigners in Warsaw and in Fundacja Ocalenie in Warsaw. She is particularly close to working with images, movements, and stories that are intertwined and complement each other. She gained experience during the art therapy course organized by Centrum Łowicka, during the dance and movement therapy course at the DMT Institute and Mindfulness Based Living Course. A student of Process Oriented Psychology, a holistic psychotherapeutic approach that suggests unconscious material can be experienced physically, interpersonally, or environmentally.
