Experiencing Turkmenistan firsthand has reinforced my ambition to balance assumptions about political systems with lived human reality. Now even North Korea is on my bucket list as a place of learning rather than judgment.”, says Verena.
“If I Moved There…” Travellers’ Club is 1 hour online interactive exchange to explore cultural experiences through the lens of personal travel, professional reflection, and imaginative relocation.
During the first 15 minutes, Verena will share her travel story, then participants will move to breakout rooms to consider their imaginative relocation to the featured country:
• What would excite or challenge them?
• What adaptations might be needed – professionally, socially, emotionally?
• What values or habits might shift?
Finally, we’ll have a professional exchange when interculturalists reflect on the traveller’s story, ask questions, and share insights that arise from an intercultural perspective.
