This webinar will focus on the importance of the intercultural competence of the administrative and support staff of universities, as well as on their key role in internationalisation. In addition, we will discuss interdisciplinary methods to assess intercultural competence from both emic and etic perspectives.

 

Bio:

Doctor Andrea Martínez Celis works as an assistant professor and as an intercultural

competence trainer in Madrid, Spain. She has participated in the United Nations’ Science

Summit promoting the importance of intercultural awareness for the achievement of the

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Her latest book entitled “Human Values and

Intercultural Competence in Internationalised Universities: The Views of Administrative

and Support Staff in Two European Settings” has just been published.
