Initiatives
Current directions for the development of SIETAR Polska (Association for Intercultural Education, Training, and Research – SIETAR Polska) developed with the Community, 2024.
Dear Members and Supporters of SIETAR Polska,
We would like to share with you the conclusions from our Community meeting, which took place at the beginning of July 2024. Over 30 members and supporters took part in an intensive workshop dedicated to defining the directions for the development of SIETAR Polska, our needs, and priorities. Thank you for your presence and commitment!

Below is a summary of our joint work and our immediate plans, which we cordially invite you to help us develop.
Our priorities for the near future:
I. Showcasing diverse voices and creating valuable educational experiences in intercultural diversity
We want to develop our offer of webinars, meetings, and workshops on interculturalism.
Based on your suggestions, we have developed five thematic areas in our lifelong learning perspective:
- Let’s talk about interculturalism
A series of talks and webinars with experts from Poland and abroad, presenting diverse perspectives, theories, and research.
- Polish culture and its diversity
A space to showcase the richness of Polish regional cultures and the voices of diverse minorities. We will also look at intergenerational issues and current national topics.
- Among us practitioners
Meetings for people working in multicultural environments- in business, education, and other sectors- designed to exchange experiences. We will create the format of the meetings together.
- Let’s take care of ourselves
Activities supporting well-being and resilience in an intercultural context. A monthly development and support group is launching in Warsaw. Stress and coping with it in migration and professional contexts.
- Let’s talk about Ukraine
A series devoted to Ukrainian culture, Polish-Ukrainian relations, the challenges and resources of people from Ukraine, as well as projects supporting integration and dialogue. During this series, we want to give a voice to people from Ukraine, both those who live in Ukraine and those who live in Poland, to talk about their culture, the challenges they face, the resources that help them, and the research they conduct. This is a space for conversation, activities, and projects aimed at supporting children and adults from Ukraine living in Poland and promoting Polish-Ukrainian understanding and integration.
We also invite you to submit your own ideas and initiatives:
👉 What would you like to talk about?
👉 What would you like to organize?
👉 Who would you like to invite?
Please feel free to write to us at info@sietar.pl
II. Cooperation with SIETAR Europa, other SIETAR organizations, universities, and other NGOs
We encourage you to follow our profiles on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, where we publish information about initiatives organized by both SIETAR Polska and other SIETAR organizations around the world.
Active membership gives you access to their events, webinars, thematic groups, and projects, as well as discounts on SIETAR conferences and workshops.
III. Working together to develop SIETAR Polska
In order to operate effectively and achieve our goals, we ensure the organizational stability (economic, legal, administrative) of the association.
Thank you for paying your membership fees regularly- they enable us to cover the necessary costs of running SIETAR Polska.
IV. Developing SIETAR Polska– together with you
We want to expand our community, especially by reaching out to young people and developing local activities. We encourage you to create local SIETAR groups in different regions of Poland.
👉 Maybe you would like to become a SIETAR leader in your area?
We also encourage you to support our online presence – liking and sharing our posts helps us reach new people.
We also invite SIETAR Polska members to use the Member Directory option, which allows us to get to know our Community better and strengthen our network of contacts.
We create SIETAR Polska together – through your activity, commitment, and diverse perspectives.
We invite you to co-create future activities, meetings, and initiatives and discourse!
